Ohio State Rep. Josh Williams, a Republican member of the Ohio House of Representatives for District 44, has been actively communicating with constituents through social media in the lead-up to the May 5th primary.
On May 2, Williams acknowledged local support and outlined his commitment to rural communities in a tweet: “I really appreciate Joe Barker taking the time to share this. Fighting for Paulding County’s farmers and our rural communities isn’t just talk, it’s something I’ve proven through action.
Once elected to Congress, I’ll keep showing up, listening, and delivering for every corner” (May 2, 2026).
Later that day, he described campaign efforts ahead of the primary: “Our final Super Saturday before the May 5th primary and the energy is undeniable!
This is what a real grassroots movement looks like!” (May 2, 2026).
The following day, Williams emphasized his legislative activity and district outreach: “I’ve spent the last year traveling all over the 9th District, from Defiance County to Erie County and everywhere in between– all while serving as the Ohio House Majority Whip and authoring over 100 bills. Vote for me on Tuesday if you want somebody representing us that nobody” (May 3, 2026).
Williams serves as part of the legislative branch and has authored or sponsored legislation on topics including overdose-response protocols in schools, escaped convict alerts, and sex-offender registry protections according to information available on the official Ohio House website. As a representative for District 44 in Ohio’s House of Representatives, Williams continues to engage voters ahead of significant electoral events.
