Ohio State Representative Josh Williams, a Republican member of the Ohio House of Representatives for District 44, has used his social media platform to discuss recent legislative efforts and critique fellow lawmakers.

On March 20, 2026, Williams posted about his latest legislative initiative: ” WATCH: I authored legislation to update Ohio’s obscenity laws to criminalize obscene sexual performances in front of minors. The bill is very specific: It would make it illegal to perform explicit sexual acts in the presence of a minor or outside adult cabarets. But https://t.co/OPPhINHQaQ”.

Later that day, Williams commented on airport delays in Northwest Ohio, attributing them to Congresswoman Marcy Kaptur: “If you’re a Northwest Ohioan stuck at the airport today, be sure to send a thank you to @RepMarcyKaptur, who is forcing you to wait in a long line to protest illegal aliens being deported.”

In another post from March 20, Williams criticized Kaptur’s voting record regarding immigration and animal welfare: ” Marcy Kaptur voted against mandating deportation for illegal aliens who harm service animals. She won’t deport illegals who harm Americans and won’t even deport illegals who harm animals. Marcy has never met an illegal alien she didn’t want to protect.”

Josh Williams serves as part of the legislative branch in Ohio and has previously sponsored bills addressing overdose-response protocols in schools as well as legislation concerning escaped convict alerts and sex-offender registry protections (official website). His recent posts reflect ongoing debates within state legislatures over issues such as public decency laws and immigration policy.
