Ohio State Representative Josh Williams, a Republican member of the Ohio House of Representatives serving District 44, recently shared a series of posts on his official X (formerly Twitter) account addressing national immigration policy and religious observance.

On April 3, 2026, Williams criticized actions by Democratic lawmakers regarding the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), stating: “So, let’s recap: @RepMarcyKaptur and her far left friends shut down DHS to try and get ICE to stop deporting illegal aliens. It hurt federal workers and caused chaos at our airports. After all that, Democrats have now agreed to re-open most of DHS with none of the ridiculous”.

Later that day, he posted a message marking Good Friday: “Wishing everyone a meaningful Good Friday as we remember the sacrifice that Christ made for the world. ‘Into thy hands, I commend my spirit.’ “.

In another post on April 3, Williams commented on U.S. immigration enforcement: “The fact that two illegal aliens from China can be given a deportation order over 30 years ago and still be in our country is insane. Our enemies laugh at us for how stupid our immigration policies are.”

Josh Williams is affiliated with the Ohio House of Representatives as a Republican member and serves District 44 in the legislative branch (official website). He has contributed to state measures such as overdose-response protocols in schools and sponsored legislation related to escaped convict alerts and sex-offender registry protections.
