Ohio State Rep. Josh Williams, a Republican member of the Ohio House of Representatives serving District 44, has used his social media platform to comment on state and national issues in recent days.
On April 1, 2026, Williams posted about fellow lawmaker Marcy’s silence on an LGBTQ+ observance: “No ‘Trans Day of Visibility’ post from Marcy this year? I guess she just wants Northwest Ohio to pretend she never pushed this crap on us.”
Two days later, on April 2, he discussed the state’s fiscal policy: “In Ohio, our Constitution requires a balanced budget, and we don’t leave Columbus until we get the job done. Since I first entered the General Assembly, I’ve worked under similar conditions to deliver affordability, fiscal sanity, public safety, and conservative wins for our”
Later that day, Williams addressed crime and immigration in relation to Democratic policies: “This is what you get when you elect Democrats: A government of, for, and by illegal aliens and violent criminals. I won’t sit by and allow Northwest Ohioans to suffer the utter insanity of soft-on-crime Democrat policies.”
According to the official website, Williams has sponsored legislation focused on public safety issues such as overdose-response protocols in schools as well as alerts for escaped convicts and protections related to sex-offender registries. He operates within the legislative branch as part of his role representing District 44.
