State Rep. Jennifer Gross, who represents Ohio’s 45th House District and chairs the House Medicaid Committee, shared personal experiences and legislative advocacy in a series of posts on X (formerly Twitter) regarding vaccine mandates and health policy.

On May 3, 2026, Gross posted about her mother’s death following a medical event after receiving a COVID-19 vaccine: “** Note Basal Ganglia Stroke? That’s what my own mother died from after her THIRD Pfizer shot. Don’t ever lecture me on standing against mandates. You could be next. I’m fighting for you too.” She continued the discussion shortly after by referencing additional information: “See Basal ganglia stroke in this list.”

The following day, Gross advocated for specific state legislation with another post: “Yet ANOTHER reason to PASS Ohio HB1 in its ORIGINAL form. Not watered down.

Gross’s statements reflect her broader legislative focus on health policy and opposition to certain vaccine mandates. According to her official biography, she brings experience from both healthcare and military service, having retired as a lieutenant colonel after 21 years in the United States Air Force with deployments in Saudi Arabia and Sarajevo. Gross also serves on several committees addressing community revitalization and health issues, including the Community Revitalization Committee, Government Oversight Committee, Health Committee, and Joint Medicaid Oversight Committee.

Her background includes membership in veterans organizations such as American Legion Post 681 and VFW Post 7696. She resides in West Chester with her husband and two sons.
