David Thomas, a member of the Ohio House of Representatives, highlighted recent legislative efforts on tax reform and community recognition in a series of posts on May 17, 2026.
In a message posted at 12:42 p.m., Thomas recapped his remarks at a local political event: “At the Portage County Lincoln Day I reminded folks of the good tax reform Republicans are doing- Federal Tax Cuts, State Income & Sales Tax Cuts, and then $3.8 Billion just in 3 years Property Tax Reform and cuts. More to do on all levels, but a solid foundation that had they not” (May 17, 2026).
Later that afternoon, Thomas referenced his collaboration with fellow legislators during a visit to Greene County: “I joined Reps. Brian Lampton and Levi Dean in Greene County recently to speak to their Township Association on the property tax changes we have made in the Legislature and what is in store for more improvements for the taxpayers. No longer can local governments rely on the” (May 17, 2026).
That evening, Thomas acknowledged an individual achievement within his district: “Congratulations to Jacob Elliot of Geneva for achieving the Eagle Scout designation! Presented a commendation on behalf of the State of Ohio to congratulate him.” (May 17, 2026).
