Congressman Mike Carey, who represents Ohio’s 15th district in the U.S. Congress, shared updates on his recent community engagements through a series of posts on social media between August 28 and August 29, 2025.

On August 28, Carey highlighted his visit to a local food bank, writing, “Had a great time visiting Second Harvest Food bank today and get updates on how they are helping our communities!”

Later that day, he focused on workforce development in Central Ohio by touring educational institutions. He posted, “Central Ohio is educating the workforce of the future, including nurses, engineering, and more! It was great to get hands-on tours of Edison State Community College and Upper Valley Career Center today!” This post underscored efforts to prepare students for various careers.

On August 29, Carey joined other public officials in Columbus to discuss economic initiatives. He stated, “Great to join @berniemoreno and @SenJonHusted in welcoming @SecretaryTurner to Columbus today to talk about growing the Opportunity Zone program that we extended in our @HouseGOP reconciliation law!”

Carey has represented Ohio’s 15th District since replacing Steve Stivers in 2021. Born in Sabina in 1971 and now residing in Columbus, Carey graduated from Ohio State University with a BA in 1993.
