Congressman Mike Carey, who represents Ohio’s 15th district in the U.S. Congress, has recently posted a series of statements on his official Twitter account addressing topics ranging from honoring veterans to government funding and housing policy.

On September 5, 2025, Carey paid tribute to a local World War II veteran, stating, “The American nation has been secured by patriots who fought to defend it. Moses Eldridge, who was Ohio’s oldest World War II veteran, was a perfect example of someone who answered the call to protect our freedom. May he rest in peace as a hero.”

Later that day, Carey discussed legislative efforts related to tax cuts and affordable housing: “Included in the @HouseGOP working families tax cuts are policies that will provide more incentives for low-income housing. @SecretaryTurner joined us in Columbus last week to discuss how we can build on that momentum. More from me on what we discussed: https://t.co/KJCcMhaK6U”

On September 6, 2025, Carey addressed concerns about military pay during potential government shutdowns: “BOTTOM LINE: Anybody who serves our country should never worry about missing a paycheck. That’s why @HouseGOP is passing government funding bills to prevent a shutdown. More from me on @610wtvnnews this week: https://t.co/e96uiMPyeT”

Mike Carey has served as the representative for Ohio’s 15th District since replacing Steve Stivers in 2021. Born in Sabina, Ohio in 1971 and currently residing in Columbus, Carey graduated from Ohio State University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in 1993.
