Today, Marilou Butcher Roth, a Master Coach and owner of The MBR Group, discusses the process of decluttering one’s environment. She emphasizes the importance of identifying areas in the home where clutter has accumulated and creating a manageable list to tackle these spaces without feeling overwhelmed.

Roth advises using a notebook to note down specific areas rather than general ones like “kitchen,” suggesting breaking it down into smaller parts such as each drawer or cabinet. She encourages individuals to estimate how long each task will take and incorporate these “home projects” into their weekly schedule.

Consistency is highlighted as key to successful decluttering. Once individuals find their rhythm, they are likely to be motivated to continue with more tasks. Roth believes everyone deserves an environment that is pleasing and suggests enjoying both the process and the results.

Marilou Butcher Roth is also the Broker/Owner of Group REALTORS in Cincinnati and serves on the Ohio REALTORS Board of Directors. She invites those interested in coaching to contact her for more information.
