Ohio State Representative Brian Stewart, a Republican legislator for Ohio House District 12, recently shared several updates and reflections on his official Twitter account. Stewart commented on political campaigns, his daily commute, and expressed gratitude for continued support from a key advocacy group.
On April 6, 2026, Stewart posted about campaign rhetoric: “I’m not a career politician (because I’ve lost every one of the 5 races I’ve run)!” is my favorite brand of terrible candidate grift.
Later that day, he discussed his new office location in Pickaway County: This morning was my first “commute” to the Pickaway County courthouse from our new Court Street law office. 45 whole seconds!
On April 7, Stewart acknowledged his collaboration with Americans for Prosperity Ohio: I’ve worked with the amazing team at @AfpOhio to improve Ohio for my entire time in the legislature, and I’m honored to earn their support again.
Stewart has served as an infantry veteran in the Iraq War and earned distinctions including the Combat Infantryman’s Badge and two Army Commendation Medals according to his official biography. He represents Madison and Pickaway counties as well as part of western Franklin County. In addition to legislative duties such as co-chairing the first meeting of the Ohio Redistricting Commission, Stewart’s interests include movies, sports, target shooting, American history books, and music by Johnny Cash.
