Ohio State Representative Brian Stewart, a Republican representing Ohio House District 12, recently posted a series of comments on social media ranging from political criticism to pop culture reviews.
On April 3, 2026, Stewart commented on a speech by Acton, stating, “This is such partisan garbage. Acton gave a fluffy speech listing all her liberal policy priorities. She gave no details for what they cost or how to pay for them. So @VivekGRamaswamy & @ohiogop did the math making reasonable assumptions. But rather than press Acton for her”.
Later that day, Stewart discussed his reaction to a television show episode: “I bailed on THE WALKING DEAD after this episode. Even for a show where you were willing to accept a lot of nihilism, this was the moment it all seemed to be a complete waste of time.”
On April 4, 2026, he shared his thoughts on the film “Project Hail Mary,” writing, “PROJECT HAIL MARY is phenomenal, and it’s also just unabashedly wholesome. Often times that saps the drama/stakes – but not here. It’s a really masterful melding of tones. Gosling should be in the Best Actor discussion. No one is doing what he’s doing right now.”
Stewart has served as an infantry veteran in the Iraq War and earned the Combat Infantryman’s Badge along with two Army Commendation Medals (official website). He represented Madison and Pickaway counties and part of western Franklin County in Ohio’s House District 12 and co-chaired the first meeting of the Ohio Redistricting Commission. His interests include movies, sports, target shooting, American history books, and Johnny Cash.
