Bernie Moreno, U.S. Senator from Ohio, published a series of posts on his X (formerly Twitter) account between April 1 and April 2, 2026, addressing issues related to campaign finance investigations and immigration policy.

On April 1, Moreno posted a brief message accompanied by an American flag emoji: ” https://t.co/nuSKbuiKya”.

The following day, Moreno questioned the role of Democrats and ActBlue in campaign financing. In his post dated April 2, he wrote: “Did Democrats use ActBlue to funnel foreign money in American elections and then LIE to Congress about it? The Senate must immediately renew investigations into ActBlue, their lawyers, and their entire leadership team. https://t.co/REcfLsnhUC”.

Later that same day, Moreno commented on Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer’s approach to immigration enforcement. He stated: “Schumer wants to turn our entire nation into a sanctuary country with no immigration enforcement in the interior. Republicans said hell no for 45 days. Schumer ultimately caved, but not after having traumatized 260,000 American workers. Disgraceful. https://t.co/pbVk3bbFAK”.

Moreno immigrated from Colombia at age five and became a U.S. citizen at eighteen. He has built one of America’s leading car dealership groups and currently serves on several Senate committees focused on banking, housing, urban affairs, commerce, science, transportation, homeland security, governmental affairs and budget issues (official website). In addition to advocating for innovation in transportation technologies such as blockchain and autonomous vehicles for safety practices (official website), he maintains offices across Washington D.C., Columbus, Cleveland and Cincinnati to assist constituents in Ohio (official website). His engagement with local residents is furthered through newsletter subscriptions offered via his official channels.
