Bernie Moreno, U.S. Senator from Ohio and member of several Senate committees, posted a series of statements on social media in early April 2026 addressing government policy, the automotive industry, and political campaigning.

On April 5, 2026, Moreno shared a brief message accompanied by emojis: ” https://t.co/gwzCOhs19P”.

In a post dated April 7, 2026, Moreno commented on federal intervention in the marketplace: “Government intrusion into the marketplace doesn’t work. Tesla became amazingly successful because it created a great brand & delivered a vehicle that people wanted. But forcing everyone to buy an EV didn’t make sense and cost American tax payers hundreds of billions of dollars. https://t.co/hGpwdoBW9e”.

On April 8, 2026, Moreno questioned campaign alliances in Michigan politics: “Hasan Piker said America deserved 9/11, endorsed Hamas, called Jews “inbred,” and called for US senator to be assassinated. So why is @AbdulElSayed campaigning with him? @MikeRogersForMI is the only candidate who will keep Michigan safe and the stakes couldn’t be higher. https://t.co/IyZHLbJrQV”.

Moreno immigrated to the United States from Colombia at age five and became a U.S. citizen at eighteen, according to his official website. He has established one of America’s leading car dealership groups and maintains offices across Ohio to serve constituents. As a senator, he serves on committees related to banking, housing, urban affairs, commerce, science, transportation, homeland security, governmental affairs and budget issues. Moreno also promotes innovation in areas such as blockchain technology and autonomous vehicles while advocating for equitable lending policies (source).
