Ohio State Representative Angie King has used her social media platform to highlight both historical reflections and legislative priorities in recent posts.
On March 18, 2026, King shared a message about the origins of St. Patrick’s Day: “Most people who celebrate St. Patrick’s Day, don’t know the real story behind it. Sold into slavery and taken to Ireland against his will, 16-year-old boy named Succat, would go on to become Ireland’s patron saint.
After escaping slavery and returning home, Patrick did something https://t.co/GC0VpB8QSI“.
The following day, King turned her attention to state legislation. On March 19, she posted: “HB 1: OHIO PROPERTY PROTECTION ACT
Ohio must pass HB 1 “Ohio Property Protection Act” – no delays.
Past time. National security. Time to act! Thank you, Adam! https://t.co/afNloc7pMf“. In a subsequent post on the same day, she reiterated her support for the bill and thanked another supporter: “HB 1: OHIO PROPERTY PROTECTION ACT

King represents Ohio’s 84th House District and has been recognized for her advocacy work for the deaf and hard of hearing community as well as her contributions to universal newborn hearing screening legislation in Ohio (official biography). She holds degrees from Wright State University in organizational leadership and business administration and resides in Celina with her husband Mark; they have two adult children and four grandchildren.
