Adam Mathews, representative of Ohio’s 56th House District, recently posted a series of comments on social media regarding state achievements and public health policy.

On March 26, 2026, Mathews wrote, “Ohio wins again.” The following day, he commented on the actions of Amy Acton during pandemic-related shutdowns: “Amy Acton showed by her shutdown actions that she thinks our world-class universities can be replaced by a tablet and online classes.” Later on March 27, Mathews added another post stating, “Let’s keep winning.”

Mathews has held several leadership roles in Ohio. He chaired the Board of Directors for Elizabeth’s New Life Center and served as Vice Mayor of Lebanon. He also led the Intellectual Property Section of the Ohio State Bar Association and participated in organizations such as the Cincinnati Federalist Society and the Warren County Republican Party. Additionally, he served as Vice President of the Notre Dame Club of Dayton. Mathews resides in Lebanon with his wife Amanda and their five children, according to his official biography.
